Einstein On God

That's not the point, ASSHOLES! You see, 3 persons one God. 3 persons being incomprehensaable because he's not mattter nor bound by time! He's a spirit punk! Spirit! If you deny the supernatural creation of the universe, you would also deny the universe since, what argument are you making if you believe that matter had always been there or even nothing created matter then that would break the laws of causality.

"...God is spirit in 3 persons... " It's possible, but this is just YOUR specific interpretation of god. You are claiming to know the details of god. Anyone who claims to know god in such detail is being rather arrogant. No two denominations, let alone religions, agrees on the details of God. I would argue that the most we could even possibly know is this: "God exists". Claiming to know anything more is speculation, and your particular version has no more objective truth than any other.

If the narrator is going to quote Einstein's original words in German, then he should get the pronunciation right. That said, this narration does faithfully reflect the evolution of Einstein's thoughts on the Divine. In short, he said "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."; or in the original German "Wissenschaft ohne Religion ist lahm, Religion ohne Wissenschaft ist blind."

Specific details of God doesn't even prove your point. First, God is spirit in 3 persons which are which is not defined or comprehend. The Son, then sent by the Father to be a man. A man is a definition of his nature as a man not as a God so you bunch of junk is deluded! I've thrown it off! I've thrown it off! What now? Is there something else?

@IsLikeThat, So you're not really an atheist. You're an agnostic! Agnostic means no knowledge. So? What's your point? What's your point? You're not an atheist PERIOD

@islikethat: loved that example of purple unicorns... how true! me and my friend drink to you and your logic :) cheers

God has revealed Himself to man. since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Romans 1:19-20 God has given man too much evidance. "Complexity is the result of an intelligent mind"

(cont.) In other words, there isn't any objective evidence. A strong atheist who claims to know for sure that god doesn't exist has a burden of proof for such a claim. But, this burden is just as great for the one who says god does exist. And, the burden is even GREATER for those who claim to know the specific details of god (i.e, he is definitely the god of the bible, etc). Thus, you have a larger burden of proof. Lastly, much more evidence already supports strong atheism than any religion.

"You claim there is no God". No, I don't claim to know anything. If there is a god, we can't know anything about it. How arrogant of you to claim that you actually know the DETAILS of god, (i.e., he is jesus, zues, etc, or whatever you happen to believe). I'm humble enough to admit that there is no good evidence to suggest that there is a god. I'm not claiming to KNOW that there isn't with certainty. But, I believe that there isn't for the SAME reasons I believe there are no unicorns on Mars.

  11. Mar 12, 2010 at 01:20 PM by IsLikeThat

No, Einstein was at most a humble agnostic. If there was a god, he claimed to know nothing about it. Certainly it would not be anything like any of the imaginations of man, such as Zues, Jesus, etc. It would be something unknowable. He absolutely did not believe in a personal god, however much as he may have WANTED to (even on his death bed). We may prefer reality to exist in a particular way, but that doesn't mean it does. Einstein knew this more than anyone else, partly why he was so smart.

  12. Mar 12, 2010 at 12:57 PM by sukulovstravinzky

@IsLikeThat No. I believe Einstein has founded logic and wisdom to chose to believe in. Christianity is not brainwashed into children. Even as an adult spoke of truths unawares. He showed signs of weak theism said 1 year before he died out bitterness but He clearly said: "I'm not an atheist. I'm not a pantheist" - Albert Einstein. As to personal God, he definitely agree with Jesus.

  13. Mar 12, 2010 at 12:53 PM by sukulovstravinzky

First I did not claim that God is material or in material world. You claim there is no God but all the philosophy and the burden of proof that follows would be heavy for you. You'll have to search not only the entire physical world but outside matter and time since God is logically OUTSIDE that! Secondly you do have to prove that matter is infinite and that it does continues on which is supernatural. Otherwise you're accepting the burden: Self creation and breaking the laws of cause & effect!!

  14. Mar 12, 2010 at 10:57 AM by IsLikeThat

"Here a video that Einstein believed in God since childhood" Einstein may have believe in god as a child. This is not surprising. Most parents brainwash their children into doing so. As we all know, young children WILL believe anything their parents tell them. It's a proven fact of psychology. If your parents had been Muslim, you'd be Muslim. It's that simple. When Einstein started to THINK FOR HIMSELF, he discovered relativity & his knowledge forced to him discount belief in a personal god.

  15. Mar 12, 2010 at 10:52 AM by IsLikeThat

No. The burden of proof is always on the person making a claim. For example, if I say that purple unicorns live on Mars, it's up to ME to prove that they do. It's not up to a non-believer to prove that I'm wrong. After all, you don't believe there are purple unicorns living on Mars, do you? You don't? Well, according to YOUR logic, the burden of proof is on you my friend. By your own flawed logic, YOU must prove that there are no purple unicorns on Mars. I need do nothing. lol, how ridiculous!

  16. Mar 12, 2010 at 08:38 AM by sukulovstravinzky

Here a video that Einstein believed in God since childhood: watch?v=nh0MJFQvlvw The adult version was quoted already. Even 1 hour before his death He said - " I'm waiting for my death and the new world I come."

  17. Mar 12, 2010 at 08:35 AM by sukulovstravinzky

Did you see why you're correct? Because you accept the burden of proof.

  18. Mar 12, 2010 at 08:33 AM by sukulovstravinzky

FOOLS! You lose! Atheists have all the burden of proof there is because it's all in the ideology! RIDICULOUS! RELIGION! YOU'RE INSANE!

"that there is something within this reality that we can call God." This is where you go wrong. Assuming you can call anything god is just that, an assumption.

  23. Mar 4, 2010 at 01:38 PM by sukulovstravinzky

This whole idea that atheism is logical and scientific, really, that is BULLSHIT and that's not even the case at all. Religious belief actually has psychological health effect and had defeated your religion.

  24. Mar 4, 2010 at 06:58 AM by MikeDecipher

As for Einstein being an agnostic. Well, as much as I would like to put him in the balance between most common positions because of his humility, I think his remark, "there has to be something behind the energy," speaks of his conviction, that there is something within this reality that we can call God.

  25. Mar 4, 2010 at 06:52 AM by MikeDecipher

Einstein is a person who would look inside reality to find God, not outside it; as we all should be.
